Alfred Donnell Jenkins (born January 25, 1952 in Hogansville, Georgia), is a former professional American football wide receiver who played for the Birmingham Americans in 1974 and nine seasons for the Atlanta Falcons from 1975 through 1983. Jenkins was selected to the Pro Bowl during the 1980 and 1981 seasons and is considered the most successful player that surged from the World Football League.[1]
Jenkins has two children, Kellie Jenkins and Alfred Cornell Jenkins, and three grandchildren, Willie Matthews, Shacquayvia Jenkins, and Zancquayvia Jenkins.
Although the above article says that Jenkins was the WFL MVP in 1974, this information is in error. The WFL had tri-MVPs in 1974: RB JJ Jennings of the Memphis Southmen, RB Tommy Reamon of the Florida Blazers and QB Tony Adams of the Southern California Sun.[1]
